Learning
motivates work and teaches you to accept responsibility for your actions and
positive attitude. In reality, motivation stems from a person's belief, which
aids him or her in achieving his or her goal. True motivation requires the
qualities of purpose, desire, direction, and dedication.
Understanding
one's own needs and desires helps people motivate themselves. It could be
tangible gifts, rewards, or intangible growth, appreciation, recognition, and
much more, depending on the individual. In your experience, how does motivation
work? If you understand how motivation works for you, your internal motivation
will propel you to achieve your objectives and lead you to success.
People
motivate themselves by instilling in themselves the belief that they are
responsible for their actions and behaviors, as well as creating a vision that
allows them to overcome challenges and accept their responsibilities in life.
Lack of motivation brings life to a halt; failure or fear of failure
demotivates people and their daily routine. A motivated person, on the other
hand, has a spark in his eyes and is always looking for new challenges and ways
to improve himself.
It could be
argued that true motivation arises from within a person as a result of how
their needs are consistently met. Without going into a lengthy explanation of
Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I'll summarize some of the key points.
Abraham Maslow stated that the most basic of needs was the need to survive.
Other
requirements for all practical purposes survive until that requirement is
continuously met. Once that need is met, the individual is ready to address any
other needs that may exist for them. These are easily determined by their own
unique life paradigm. A person's paradigm is simply the LENSES through which
they consistently view life. A set of beliefs that shape their experience and
interpretation of everything around them. There will be no real change until
someone's paradigm shifts. However, the motivation to make a paradigm shift
leads us to the next section.
YOU AND YOUR
SELF-MOTIVATION
If you are
disciplined, goal-oriented, organized, and quick, it means you have the ability
to motivate yourself. It means you have a sense of accomplishment, which is how
motivation works. To help you in becoming the person you are today.
Because
motivation is fleeting and short lived, it must be constantly reinforced in
order to succeed. When negative thoughts and anxiety enter the picture, we can
become demotivated and uncertain about our future. However, simply accepting
the challenges to move forward can motivate one because he will have the will
and commitment to be successful. Accepting failures and learning from them as a
life lesson helps us to move on to the next stage of success.
